The Attraction of Water

We all want to live by, or at least visit the water. It’s there most of us find peace and healing. I can go so far as saying I want to be like water. For me, that is let life flow and go with the current.

What is our attraction to water? Let’s think about what water is and how water acts.

We must understand that 70% of our planet and 70% of our bodies are water. This cannot be coincidence. This is a matter of us, humans and the earth, all being connected. We live and die by the same properties and life force.

I learned about the 5 scientific properties of water from YouTube, “Properties of Water” by Ricochet Science. Thank you for the great info. 👍

Water is a solvent. To say it simply, water dissolves things. Our surrounding environment affects us, becomes part of us, and in turn, we become a part of it. Our very composition makes us adaptable and accepting of ourselves and others

Water is adhesive and cohesive. It clings to polar surfaces and sticks together. These two properties are necessary to transport nutrients and waste in living things. Our greatest task is supporting life around us. That is tending the Earth or a troubled neighbor.

3  Water has high surface tension. The surface molecules are more attracted to each other rather than the air above. They stay committed and work together. Our intuitive nature is trustworthy and cooperative.

4  Water has high heat capacity. It absorbs intense heat without changing its chemical state, such as from liquid to gas. This property also allows living organisms to maintain normal temperature levels with external temperature change. Our natural reaction is to handle pressure and change gracefully. We are  strong and resilient.

Water’s density is based on its temperature. It expands when it freezes, and it freezes top down. Water’s response to temperature allows the top sheet of ice to act as an insulator allowing organisms’ survival in the winter. Our innate response is working together and being flexible for the greater good. We band together and can insulate each other from the evil in the world.

In summary, the properties of water teach us if we accept and support each other with a cooperative spirit, we all become strong and resilient together nurturing the greater good.

Our attraction is we are water. ❤️💧
