Is It Time to Tie the Knot?

June has always been the most popular month to get married. It still is today, along with September and October. It seems couples are grabbing the ideal weather and nature backdrops.

Being it’s June, I did a brisk Google search of what’s happening in the wedding scene today. It seems tradition is alive and well in all of the details.

So when is the right time to tie the knot?

Legally, a girl must be 18 to marry and a boy 21. In 1920, women married at age 21 and men married at age 24 on average. (Brides) According to 2020 statistics, the average age for women is 31 and men 33. So this is an upward trend, huh?

Most successful marriages begin in the couples’ mid 20s to age 30. Being too young or too old can possibly hurt the marriage. Maybe the young don’t know enough yet, and the old know too much already.

Couples need to find that happy medium. They may still be building careers and traveling and saving money and having fun, but who better to join you? True love will let each of you grow into who God meant you to be with a loyal partner by your side. Let’s not lose that in modern romance. God bless all of the young couples starting out today. ❤️❤️
