Happy Birthday, America 🇺🇸

This year 2021, the United States of America will be 245 years old on July 4. Our American life is to be cherished, protected, and celebrated.  

Freedom is rooted in our country’s core. Our forefathers documented freedom at the outset, and our people fought for it. 

As the USA, we stand united. We may disagree, and that is our checks and balances. But we can never lose sight of protecting each others’ freedoms. We’re all in that together!   

In the Declaration of Independence, we the people are granted basic, natural rights. Our government is to protect these rights, as these individuals are voted by the people. Let us not forget. 

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”  

Life.  We are free to decide how we live. We can defend those choices and our lives. We protect and honor others’ choices. It’s what makes America strong, our differences. 

Liberty.  We are free from oppressive restrictions on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views. We can think, communicate, and vote ourselves. We respect each others’ ideas.   

Pursuit of happiness.  We are free to pursue our own resources, and the government provides access to them, such as education, food, medicine, and safety. Our government needs to be sure these are available to all.  

And while the natural rights for all people are granted, the greatest good will occur if they’re not tampered with for nefarious purposes. American life is not perfect, but we must strive to protect it and each other. 

Remember, our freedom is given to us by God. Stay true to your soul, and be free!
