Sailing Through Life’s Storms

If we’ve been around this Earth for a while, we’ve seen heartache, our own and others.

Doesn’t it make us wonder? How do we survive sometimes? How can we remain in flight through it all?

I see the blinding difference between those who land and those who glide after calamity. Because life delivers it, over and over again, in many forms. Often when we least expect it.

Sometimes, it’s an outright  disaster, like Hurricane Ian. Sometimes it’s more subtle. People or dreams slip away. Things don’t go as planned. Sometimes, it’s us, and other times, we witness the plight of another.

It’s called life. Reasons exist beyond our understanding.

One thing can make all the difference. It can get us through the bad times and help us continue on the journey.

Knowing we are not alone, God carries us through it all. He meets us in the darkest of times. He gave His only son.

Have faith that God is in control always. Stay faithful to a loving Father who will set us free and let us fly. Even on our worst, hardest, saddest days, believe that with time, we will soar again.

My heart goes out to the Hurricane Ian survivors and the memory of a beautiful shore.
