The Color of Your Sky

How has your sky been lately? What color is it?

My summer sky, it’s been dirty with haze. While the sun begs to burn through,  the burning of the Canadian forests sizzle to our North. It has affected the Great Lakes states and the Northeast part of the U.S. and now Europe.

In these regions, the effects are visibility in the skies and unhealthy air to breathe for all. In Canada, these wildfires have produced 13 times more damage than the 10-year average, according to the Canadian Wildland Fire Information System. It is a catastrophe.

The causes of these unusually fierce wildfires early in the season are drought conditions and lagging jet streams from a changing earth. We’re all affected  and connected. We all share one big sky.

The color of our sky is the actual sky above, or how we live and see life. We need to be cognizant of our words and our actions. The residual emotions echo through our relationships and the world, as they get passed around from one person to another.

Negativity produces a gray sky. Positivity, a blue sky. Some clouds in life are to be expected.

Think about it. Are we a negative charge to ignite destruction, hostility, and frustration? Or are we a positive charge to light growth, joy, and inspiration? We have the power to choose.

Be the light. Always do our best to connect with and be the bright blue sky.
