What is Our Connection to Nature?

Have you ever spent a week, a day, or even an hour in nature? How did you feel after?

I’d say, it feels pretty amazing. It’s almost as if we’ve returned to our roots and to our true selves. There is no denying that humans and nature are connected.

First, water makes up the majority of our beings. Inside our bodies, 60% is water. From space, 71% of planet Earth is water.

Second, 97% of our atoms are shared with the rest of the galaxy. Planet Earth and humans are made from the same elements, oxygen carrying the most weight.

Hmmm 💫🤩 We are stars.

The human body and Earth host a transportation network. Blood vessels move blood through the body to keep us alive. Rivers and streams carry water throughout the world sustaining life.

Ahhh 🌳 😌 We are like tree branches.

Both the planet and humans trust a proper balance. The planet needs the right mix of air, water, land, and life. The human relies on the circulatory, respiratory, digestive, reproductive, musculoskeletal, nervous, and immune systems.

Both support a large ecosystem. Earth has 8.7 million species. One human body hosts 10,000 species, and think how many humans populate the Earth.

All created by God who gave the spark of life. Earth and humans are akin.
